Well I've had a nice summer filled with comics. It's either a movie like Hellboy or Wanted, or reading Scott McCloud's Understanding Comics. Understanding Comics is a comic about comics, a bit old now, but very very good. I picked up his more recent Making Comics, and had a blast with that as well. Spent this past weekend in PA with my friends. We were supposed to see Dark Knight in IMAX, but someone didn't get the tickets. It was still fantastic. Like BLOW YOU AWAY fantastic. I'm debating whether or not to bring my little sister to see it. It might be PG-13 but it's a strong PG-13. 2.5 hours long. Nothing was after the credits. I liked what I saw, made me super enthusiastic to try and pursue even further my own endevor (though, friends and other readings sparked it this added fuel to the fire). I also wanna support something that I think is great and hope to try it out, the 24 hour comic. If you look up Scott McCloud, he gives the basic rules and posts old comics done that way. There is a 24 hour comic day and I thought I would put the banner here to you know support it and stuff. Also, go look up Dr. Horrible's sing-along-blog it's awesome in so many ways.
